Scenic Fall Drives in Crested Butte

Colorado’s leaves are beginning to change color. The peak of the leaf color is only a few weeks away! Grab your keys and your camera and get ready to see some truly amazing fall foliage on these awesome scenic drives around Crested Butte.

Kebler Pass: Along Gunnison County Road 12, you’ll find this gorgeous high mountain pass that winds through the largest grove of aspen trees in America. At 10,000 feet of elevation, the views offered by Kebler Pass are enchanting! (Click here for a map)

Ohio Pass: Access this scenic drive by traveling west from Crested Butte along County Road 12. Turn left onto County Road and drive about a mile to find Ohio Pass! Located near Kebler Pass, you can add this route for additional views of the area’s awesome aspen trees. (Click here for a map)

West Elk Loop: If you’re wanting to spend a few hours taking in the fall foliage, then you should drive the West Elk Loop. This loop features some of Colorado’s most stunning scenery. You’ll see Kebler Pass, Black Canyon, and the Gunnison River, plus a variety of terrain and trees! (Click here for a map)

Crystal Mill: Crystal Mill is another great route for those looking for extensive leaf peeping. This drive can take up most of a day, but it is worth it!
